Topic: From Lab to Field; Corrosion Testing in the 21st Century
Thank you for registering and joining us for LBBC Baskerville’s Webinar Series, welcome to our second webinar.
The presence of corrosive gases (CO2 and H2S) in many applications, coupled with the shift towards more demanding and ever increasing extreme conditions along with the commercial pressures to increase production rates to meet energy demands creates a number of challenges for companies to maintain the integrity of exposed equipment. The ultimate goal for many industries involved with providing energy sources or water treatment services is to maximise production and services with improved process safety. Testing and measurement technologies and systems that will enable accuracy, repeatability and reliability are vital to meet the growing challenges in these sectors. The key to the success of any corrosion testing programme is that the conditions must closely match those seen in the field.
With this focus, LBBC Baskerville and the University of Leeds have united in recent years to develop and improve products for corrosion testing in such demanding environments.
In this webinar, Dr Danny Burkle and Dr Richard Barker will discuss the key challenges in harsh operating environments, current and future needs in tools, technologies and methods, and how new products can be developed to enable innovation.
